It recently came to our attention that 30 million American men experience Erectile Dysfunction by the time they reach the age of 40. So apparently, this is a topic worth addressing. It is primarily an American problem. The "disease" rate is not being mirrored in other countries, which affirms that E.D. is not simply a product of aging, or even a disease. It is a direct product of the American lifestyle.
Regarding human health, sexual stamina is usually the first thing to go whenever there is a problem. This means that sexual problems, such as Erectile Dysfunction, are merely symptoms of other more serious health issues. Great sexual drive and performance are probably the best indicators of perfect health, and hence this explains why sexual problems have become such a large part of American life.
The Causes of Erectile Dysfunction and Loss of Sexual Libido
The American lifestyle is significantly worse than that of any other industrialized country in the world. Even the water in the U.S.A. is laced with fluoride, chlorine, and various other toxic compounds, including pharmaceuticals, such as detectable levels of S.S.R.I. antidepressants; just to name a few. Believe it or not, all of these play a leading role in causing sexual difficulties. This is just for the case for water alone. If you routinely drink tap water in the U.S., or drink soft drinks, then the sexual problems that you experience will likely become a permanent condition, at least until you alter your lifestyle.
Outside of the U.S.A., most American foods would be considered unfit for human consumption, and banned from grocery store shelves. Most of it is already banned elsewhere. Some food producers actually have two recipes for the same food product: one for the U.S.A., and another for all the other countries that do not tolerate the mass-poisoning of their populations. Other nations do not tolerate fluoride either, and we strongly encourage the use of non-fluoride toothpastes, due to fluoride's neutralization of iodine needed by the thyroid, and overall destructive effects (including causing cavities).
Most of the chemicals seen in American prepared foods were banned long ago in the U.K., and throughout most of Europe. There is no F.D.A. elsewhere to categorically bless and protect the chemical contaminators. The bodies of average Americans are so incredibly toxic that a dead American's body will take 7 years longer to fully decompose than the dead of any other nationality, and this is not due to differences in embalming techniques. Americans are actually embalmed long before they die via food-based chemical preservatives.
It is not just the toxic chemicals ruining our sex lives: also contributing are preservatives, petroleum derivatives, coal tar colorings, steroids, growth hormones, radiation, and now genetic engineering in our foods. American foods are also almost devoid of all nutrition; for our vegetation and the vegetation used to feed our meats are both equally nutrient-depleted from over-farming with chemically engineered fertilizers. This has made disease symptom management (health care) the top money making industry in the U.S.A..
It is perhaps best if we do not even get started on the topic of what the pharmaceuticals are doing.
If the above aggravating factors were not enough, Americans have crippling degrees of stress unseen in other industrialized nations. Most Americans get about 1/4th the vacation (holiday) time that the rest of the industrialized world gets, and then there is the bankrupting medical system, which hardly needs explanation. Americans are drowning in a perpetual enslaving sea of debts, even with both husbands and wives feverishly working in vain to escape their debt.
As long as this lifestyle is continued, new epidemics and diseases will continue to appear. You can be certain that both our government and the pharmo-chemical industry will continue attempting to keep us sick and chemically dumbed-down for their own nefarious motives, without ever curing anything.

Many Americans have forgotten that they are the decedents of Puritans, and even those who are not directly related to the Puritans of yesteryear would still be the decedents of people who would be rather puritan by today's standards. This linage still resonates throughout our culture, and in our churches. Sex to them was in the domain of the Devil. It was considered impure and corrupting in practically every form, except for the inducement of pregnancies amongst married couples. God had, after all, blessed both marriage and procreation. Sex was otherwise shunned and vilified by the Christian cultures of the past. It was demonized for hundreds of years by Christian peoples, and some still demonize it. Indeed, sex can very well be a sin by Christian doctrines, whenever it is experienced at the wrong place, wrong time, and with the wrong person. The Puritans of the past took God's rules about sex to a whole new level, to include forbidding most sexual activities between husbands and wifes. It was actually forbidden for sex to be enjoyable. They considered the enjoyment of sex to be the sin of lust, even amongst married couples. In the present, we still are suffering under the yoke of Puritan beliefs. Our culture and our churches still preach that sexual activities are dirty and ungodly, even if only indirectly now. Despite our tendency to deny it, we are still so hysterical about sex that people have had their lives destroyed because someone found a picture of a naked child on a computer, and in many cases, these people get more prison time than real rapists do -- allegedly for having thought crimes. So yes, Christian guilt is quite pervasive in American society, and it has impaired many married couples from sharing one of God's greatest gifts to them. Sex is unquestionably one of God's greatest gifts, so he wants us to enjoy it; provided it occurs at the right time, place, and with the right person (ie. your spouse).
Billions of dollars have been spent to foster the 'pop a pill' mentality pervading American society. This ongoing campaign by Big Pharma has caused Americans to forget how influential their mental attitudes are to their health and sex lives. Ask a typical American how E.D. is treated, and immediately a whole slew of pharmaceuticals will be mentioned, by a conditioned reflex. Pharmaceuticals are never the long-term answer. They only hide the systems (ie. E.D.), while aggravating the underlying condition or conditions. Using drugs is like making a deal with the Devil; for there is eventually a 'gotcha' at the end, which almost always entails needing even more pharmaceuticals. Please see our side-effects listing at the end, before giving into the temptation to take the easy way with drugs.
Intimacy is a big part of sexual fulfillment, and there are always sexual problems whenever it is missing. Intimacy has become so rare for men that they rarely recognize it anymore, or even miss its loss. The more romantic men, and practically all of the women can tell you that intimacy is sorely missing in our modern society. A little romance goes a long way toward making things work. Romance is like the foreplay of the foreplay. Skipping steps along the way leads only to an unpleasant journey. We know it is difficult to find the time, or the right state of mind in this era to be romantic, but doing it is so worth it. Many men believe that this does not apply to their E.D. issues, because only women feel a great need for romance, but this forgets a critical sexual aspect. It forgets that men are only half of the sexual equation at play, and if the women involved seems less satisfied, then everything for the male is much more difficult. In other words, if the woman is completely happy, then the man is happy, and he will get a tremendous sexual boost from that.
To be romantically successful, find a time and place where you and your spouse can forget about everything else in the world. Spend that time together as if nothing else in the world matters. Both your relationship, and your sex lives are worth every minute of that invested time. Remember how you worked to impress and please whilst you dated? Surely it can be repeated for at least a couple of hours each week.
What the Allopathic Medical Establishment Considers the Causes of E.D.
- Diabetes or pre-diabetes
- Poor Circulation
- High Blood Pressure
- Heart Disease
- Lack of exercise
- Pharmaceuticals
You may notice from the list above that every one of these (except exercise) is caused by a combination of poor diet and drugs.
The issue of curing diabetes really deserves an article of its own, so that is covered elsewhere. In the meantime, diabetics should know that they can reverse their condition through a drastic change in diet and lifestyle, and they should research the vast array of alternative therapies. Many pharmaceuticals, especially steroids and synthetic insulins, are known precursors to full-blown diabetes. Be warned that the synthetic insulins given to pre-diabetics will cause full-blown diabetes to develop.

Poor circulation will be encountered by anyone who has a poor diet, and it is therefore especially common in those who suffer with obesity. As in all cases, remove artificial additives from your diet, along with processed sugar (use evaporated cane juice) and bleached foods (white rice, white bread, white flour, white sugar). By doing so, you should be eliminating all processed foods in the process. Erectile Dysfunction is a problem that will eventually disappear if you simply take charge of your health.
There are herbs which can help in the meantime. Gingko Biloba is known for this, in particular. Vitamin E is known for helping with erectile dysfunction, because of its ability to massively help boost the circulation. When buying vitamin E, read the label to ensure that it comes from a natural source. In a rather ironic twist, the best vitamin E supplements are extracted from soybean oil; which we would normally tell you to avoid. In general, you should avoid all other sources of soy; especially if you are experiencing hormonal problems like E.D..
High blood pressure will be corrected whenever you truly take care of yourself. It is something that never happens with a healthy, active person. Cayenne is particularly helpful for blood pressure and heart issues. (It has been known to stop heart attacks.) Add cayenne pepper powder to your food and drinks, or conveniently buy cayenne in capsule form at a health food store to avoid the usual burning.
Heart disease is neither genetic or a natural product of aging. It is caused by a degenerative lifestyle for a period of many years, and the longer that this poor lifestyle continues, the worse it gets. This is why it is falsely considered to be a problem with aging, despite the fact that now even children are being diagnosed with heart disease, telling us just how bad our diets and lifestyles have become in the United States. Unfortunately, the stupidity of the situation only gets worse.
In addition to blaming aging for heart disease, the medical establishment also blames cholesterol. The whole cholesterol industry, and its science are complete frauds, and there has never been proof of cholesterol causing heart disease. Take for example that having elevated levels of cholesterol at the same time as heart disease is not necessarily evidence that one is the cause of the other; and in actually, they are both just symptoms of the same thing: namely inflammation. In fact, heart health actually requires saturated fats, especially during inflammatory periods, which are the very fats that we have been told to avoid. For more information about this read our comprehensive report, 'The Big One: Naturally Preventing and Curing Heart Disease'.
Like other long-term degenerative diseases, heart disease takes many years to develop, so curing it is neither quick nor easy, but it can be done. Curing will never come from a pill, and you can be sure the pharmaceutical industry will make certain of that.
The bottom line is that erectile dysfunction is a symptom of a much more serious problem. There are herbs which can be used to treat the symptoms, like Ginseng, but reckless usage can be dangerous. For instance, a stimulant combined with excessively high blood pressure is a potentially dangerous combination. Therefore, it is strongly advised that you attack the root source of your condition, instead of merely seeking a quick fix.
Natural Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction and Decreased Libido (sexual drive)
- DHEA
- Fo-Ti
- Horny Goat Weed
- Asian Ginseng ("Panax" Ginseng)
- Ginkgo Biloba
- Arginine
- Biotin
- Cayenne
- Vitamin E
- Routine Exercise
- Relaxation / Destress
- Minimize Alcohol
- Detoxification
- A Natural (hopefully organic) Diet
Those with herpes should avoid using arginine as a treatment, for it will trigger an outbreak. It should also be avoided during outbreaks of chicken pox or shingles, which are caused by a sister virus of herpes. You may notice that the list above is for treating E.D. symptoms, but they cure nothing. We recommend correcting whatever underlying problem is causing the E.D., instead of just covering up the symptoms; since merely suppressing the symptoms may lead to other serious long-term implications.

Notice the pattern? Each of these drugs in-turn generates more long-term business for both the doctors and the same pharmaceutical companies. It's a coincidence, right? These are the drugs considered safe and effective by the F.D.A.. There are men out there who have been blinded by Viagra, and they would certainly disagree.
