The W.H.O. Has Another Plan To Make Us Healthier Through Forced Medicating
| Written by Thomas Corriher |
|
Whenever a governmental or international agency recommends mandating something that is purportedly in the interest of our health, we have learned to duck for cover. Even in the best and most innocent cases, they have a tendency of ignoring the true causes of problems, and of treating the symptoms in a manner which creates more harm.
The fellowship with the chemical industry is unmistakable, and apparently force medicating us with bleach and fluoride is not enough anymore.
The latest recommendation from the World Health Organization is to add calcium and magnesium to municipal water supplies. This new treatment is supposed to help us to resist osteoporosis and brittle bone disease. Of course, these conditions are caused by the fluoride that they have recommended in our drinking water for the last 60 years. Prior to that, these conditions were so rare that they were considered oddities. Best yet is the fact that fluoride has been repeatedly shown by statistics to cause more dental problems than it eliminates. Those statistics have been made intentionally difficult to find, by the way. We can only conclude that the whole science thing just gets in the way of their agenda. As of yet, they have still never recommended removing fluoride, despite it being an industrial toxic waste product. What fluoride accomplishes is keeping the populations passive, reducing IQ levels, along with causing cancers, thyroid diseases, metabolic diseases, suppressing the immune system, and causing reproductive defects. Fluoride was a favorite chemical weapon of the NAZIs. It is also hidden in a large portion of the pharmaceuticals too, without any apparent reason or explanation.
The Modern and Neurotic Psychology of Sickness

| Still looking for the cure? Perhaps they did not notice their own cancer-causing ingredients. | |
Our society makes it difficult to go through an entire day without hearing about someone's medical suffering. I shall not contest the fact that millions of American's are suffering with diseases, routine sicknesses, and pharmaceutically-induced side effects. However, it must be stated that virtually all of our illnesses are needless, and even self-inflicted. We have been so brainwashed into believing that routine illnesses are normal that anyone disputing this dogma has become a politically incorrect fool. This may seem harsh to some readers initially, but it is absolutely true.
Most people are negligent about their health most of the time, and utterly suckered by the establishment. They eat genetically engineered, radioactive, and processed foods every day having little regard for the eventual consequences. Sooner or later, they find themselves being chemically treated for relatively non-existent diseases, such as "high cholesterol", and such "conditions" eventually become heart disease to everyone's surprise, diabetes, and perhaps the random symptoms of fibromyalgia. This cascading collapse of health is never blamed on the pharmaceuticals that were initially given, despite these problems being clearly cited in studies.
Sharp Rise in U.S. Military Psychiatric Drug Use and Suicides
| Written by Bruce E. Levine |
|
One in six service members is now taking at least one psychiatric drug, according to the Navy Times, with many soldiers taking "drug cocktail" combinations. Soldiers and military health care providers told the Military Times that psychiatric drugs are "being prescribed, consumed, shared and traded in combat zones.
The Navy Times reporters Andrew Tilghman and Brendan McGarry also noted that there has been a large increase in military suicides. From 2001 to 2009, the Army's official suicide rate increased from 9 per 100,000 soldiers to 23 per 100,000. During that same period, the Marine Corps suicide rate increased from 16.7 per 100,000 soldiers to 24 per 100,000.
Natural and Holistic Treatments To Remedy Scabies

We were recently contacted by one of our readers about eliminating scabies. Scabies is a term that describes a parasitic skin infestation by the itch mite (sarcoptes scabiei). The name itch mite should give readers a clear indication of the effect of these little monsters. These mites burrow under the skin to lay their eggs, and they create bacterial infections in the process. The overall immune system usually takes a hit. The itching only begins after 30 days of infection, and during this initial symptom-less period, victims may pass this condition on to all of their family members and friends. These highly contagious infestations can be transmitted whenever there is skin contact, or when there is shared contact with cloth fibers. It has been known to run rampant in institutional settings.
Finding effective natural methods of eliminating such parasites can be a challenge for those who practice alternative medicine, because the methodology required is in opposition to normal procedures. Alternative medicine normally concentrates upon working with nature, to help it overcome whatever imbalances have caused a state of dis-ease. In a sense, traditional methods can be thought of as a little too pro-life to be of any use. Poisons are not our forté, in other words. You would need to turn to Big Pharma for that, and they have literally transformed the poisoning of their own customers into a science. Allopathic medicine has plenty of poisonous chemicals that people can rub all over their skin, with their products often containing benzene and formaldehyde.
Even The Chinese Declare American Food Unfit For Human Consumption

When China rejects something because of its toxicity, we know that it must be quite bad. After all, they had no problem poisoning their own infants with melamine, and they apparently consider lead to be an essential nutrient for children. However, they recently rejected six tons of American cherries, because they were laced with pesticides. The Chinese do not tolerate even trace amounts of the pesticide malathion, and we fully understand why.
Malathion is the most common pesticide used in the United States, and the E.P.A. estimates that about 30 million pounds are used annually. There have been very few human studies using this pesticide (any volunteers?), so most data comes from animal studies and test tube analysis' of human cells. Feeling safer now?
A New Method of Poisoning Us With Radiation: 'High Efficiency' Light Bulbs
| Written by Thomas Corriher |

I experienced an episode of "crazy" during the presentation of my 7th grade science project. I was still in the public schools at that time, and the understanding of science by teachers and students alike was more than a little bit underwhelming. They knew that light was really fast, but their overall understanding seemed to stop shortly thereafter. When I began preaching to them about fluorescent lights emitting radioactive, electromagnetic fields that were guaranteed to increase a person's cancer risk: well, everyone's eyes seemed to glaze over as if I were speaking a foreign language. I vainly explained that if these lights operated at high voltages, and these voltages were pulsed at high frequencies, then radioactive energy was obviously emitted, and moreover, these bulbs were already known for producing the full band of light energy (some of which is destructive too).
Special Investigative Report: Debunking The "Health" Products That You Thought Were Healthy
| Written by Sarah Cain |

Deception is rampant in the food industry, and as a result, typical retailer shelves are full of products that are marketed as having health benefits, despite the fact that most of them are more damaging to us than the "unhealthy" products that they replace. As a general rule, you should beware whenever you see labels such as: diet, sugar free, fat free, no trans fats, with flax, or with omega 3. These are usually traps to hurt you at someone else's profit. The F.D.A. uniquely redefines common words to shield a chemical industry that is happily poisoning us. Some of the label terms listed herein mean something entirely different from what a reasonable person would expect. These will be explained.
Sugar Free Products
For instance, the phrase "sugar free" commonly means that normal food sugars have been replaced with chemically extracted sugar alcohols, such as sorbitol, mannitol and maltitol. These "diabetic safe" sugar compounds tend to increase a person's blood sugar levels more than real sugar does, and they cause even more inflammation than the standard processed sugars do. "Sugar free" frequently means being more sugary and being more dangerous. These alcohol sugars are especially common with chewing gums, for the marketing agenda of making them appear healthy.
Hearing Our Seriously Depressed Adolescents and The Truth About 'Troubled' Teens
| Written by Dan L. Edmunds, Ed.D., B.C.S.A. |

The distressed adolescent often has feelings of abandonment, emotional detachment, withdrawal, and isolation. These children begin to develop an intense anger directed towards the adult society that they feel has hurt them and does not understand them. Parents need to learn how to build relationships with these children, and this can be accomplished through a process of emotional coaching, of allowing the child to express their feelings without judgment, while providing clear guidance, limits, and expectations. It is often inconsistency and a lack of clear guidance from parents that furthers the struggles for these children, who then begin to seek guidance from misinformed peers.
Fed Up! Movie Trailer
| Written by Thomas Corriher |

We recently discovered Fed Up!, a documentary which focuses on the topic of genetically engineered foods. The movie uses archival footage and interviews to explore the changes in food production, how the Biotech Revolution took place, and it shows the influence of big industry on our food choices. The archival footage will be fascinating to many; showing the battle over genetically modified food labeling, the inevitable contamination of our entire food supply through genetically engineered pollens, how they are wiping-out the butterflies and honeybees, and how the great majority of the first pesticides are now illegal — but they remain for decades in farm soils.
There was no trailer available for this movie, so we made one ourselves. We strongly recommend that you watch the entire movie. It is only an hour long, and it is very informative. The movie was released under a Creative Commons license, so it should be freely and legally available for download from archive.org and through the bittorrent network.

Dishonest Dietary Supplement Labels and Serving Sizes
| Written by Sarah Cain |
|
People are often deceived by dietary supplement labels. These labels are intentionally deceptive, and frequently imply that they contain far more of a given substance than they actually do. Pictured right is a standard label for a dietary supplement.
As intended, people easily come to the false conclusion that these pills contain 1 gram (1000 mg.) of vitamin C, but that would be wrong. Always notice the serving size. In this example, the serving size is two tablets, which means that the nutrient information shown is what you would obtain from taking two pills at a time. There's actually only 500 mg. of vitamin C in each tablet. This may not seem particularly disturbing, until one realizes that other companies routinely change the serving sizes to be up to 6 pills. All of their nutrient information would need to be divided by six to get an approximate amount for each ingredient. Unscrupulous supplement companies rely on the fact that most people never notice the serving sizes, and that their customers will assume that they are getting exactly what the nutrient label says for each pill. Some of the more honest supplement companies have the serving size listed as one pill, which is exactly how it should be.
Alternative Medicine Fraud: Magnet Therapy
| Written by Thomas Corriher |

Magnets are becoming popularized as a method for treating swelling and joint issues, with magnetic therapy growing to a billion dollar business internationally. This is due to massive marketing schemes. Magnet therapy advertisements plague the June issue of Carolina Country, a free magazine that is distributed by the utility company, Energy United. The magnets were embedded into clothing, which allegedly relieves stiffness and fatigue. The product was essentially thick spandex underwear with embedded magnets. The manufacturer sells a large line of magnet-based "therapies", and they hook their victims using products like the one described. That particular entry-level product was one of the cheaper ones ($9.97) that was merely designed to reel-in gullible people for future marketing.

Quick Tip: How To Eliminate A Sore Throat
| Written by Sarah Cain |
|
Whether we're suffering with the common cold or bronchitis, a sore throat is often one of the first symptoms to strike us. It can become so painful that it is difficult to talk. There are very few pharmaceutical options to help with this, and as a result; even doctors frequently recommend home remedies. Through experience and research, we believe that we have found the optimum cure for a sore throat. It can dramatically reduce pain in a matter of minutes. If you don't believe in the power of alternative medicine, this will make you a believer.
Mix one tablespoon of cayenne, and one tablespoon of sea salt in an 8 ounce glass. Fill with water and mix well. Gargle with this formula, and then refrigerate. You should re-use it whenever the throat begins to feel painful again. It does not need to be warm. It will break-up the bacterial coating in the throat, so expect to be profusely spitting for a few minutes afterward. Discard it after a day, and remake it as necessary.
How To Quickly Remedy Food Poisoning
| Written by Thomas Corriher |
|
Those who eat at restaurants (especially fast food) on a regular basis are sure to experience food poisoning occasionally. Its symptoms can appear within 3 to 4 hours. They include diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, and fever. These symptoms can be much more extreme with food poisoning than they are from other sicknesses . An individual will typically suffer with food poisoning for 24 to 36 grueling hours.
Staphylococcus aureus is a very common food poisoning bacteria. It is killed by normal cooking, but it is frequently found in hand-made products that are left at room temperature for a long time, such as potato salad and sandwich spread. Salmonella is the most infamous food poisoning agent, but it is easily destroyed in temperatures above 150°F. Botulism toxins are caused by the clostridium botulinum. It is relatively rare, and only responsible for 1 in 400 cases of food poisoning, but it is more likely to result in death. Cl. botulinum can exist as a heat-resistant spore, and may grow to produce a neurotoxin in under-heated, home-canned foods. Incredibly, botulinum therapy ("Botox") is an FDA-approved medicine, which is used to temporarily eradicate troublesome wrinkles (by paralyzing the face), and supposedly treat neurological disorders. The presence of listeria in meats has resulted in a large portion of meat recalls in recent years. It breeds in the unhygienic conditions of factory farms. It causes flu-like symptoms, and has the unusual trait of becoming contagious in an infected individual. It can be deadly to children and those with weakened immune systems.
Why Pets Are Good For You
| Written by Sarah Cain |
|
Pets have been given a bad reputation in recent years, especially in connection with health. Furry friends have been demonized for causing asthma and breathing difficulties, whilst reptiles were labeled as unsanitary. However, studies repeatedly show that the benefits of pets often outweigh the risks. It is similar to the manner in which plants have been recommended against, due to the pollen that they produce. Plants have health benefits of their own, both by cleaning the air, and by reducing stress. Here are some of the ways that pets may improve our health.
Making Meat Toxic with Industrial Additives
| Written by Thomas Corriher |
|
The many benefits of eating meats are negated when its nutrition has been tainted by the chemical industry. Contrary to what is being widely taught, beef is not unhealthy or full of fat in its natural state. However, when cows are factory-farmed in concrete sheds with poor sanitation, and are kept alive chemically; then the resultant meat is fatty and extremely unhealthy.
The fat content of beef sold in regular U.S. retailers is 4 to 5 times higher than beef that was sold during the 1950's. It was common for U.S. beef in the 1950's to have as little as 2% fat, but now the fat content tends to be so high in factory-farmed beef that the U.S.D.A. allows ground beef to be up to 30% fat and 15% pink sludge (described later). That means that ground beef in the U.S. is frequently only 55% real meat.
Factory-farmed beef in the United States is sometimes one-third fat, which is 15 times worse than the previous best ratio. Could we honestly call it meat at this point, or is it just a chemically-tainted fat delivery system? This situation is made worse when the meat is later sprayed or soaked in toxic chemical solutions, such as nitrate salts, prior to arrival at grocery stores. The purpose of this is to increase shelf life by making the meats so toxic that fungi and bacteria immediately die from contact with it. Thus, the meat products are toxic by design.
A Letter from the Editor: The Nuggets We Get
| Written by Thomas Corriher |

Unlike most of our articles, this one is expected to be updated regularly. Let me tell you something about web sites which applies particularly to sites specializing in health information, and allow me to preface this with a few notes about the topics of 'astroturfing' and 'sock puppets'. Let's start with the more familiar phrase, namely, sock puppets. We all know the literal meaning of sock puppets, I'm sure. As kids, most of us glued fake eyes, and perhaps a mouth, onto a sock for a cheap, homemade puppet. A somewhat different type of sock puppet exists on the Internet. It is a phrase used to describe professional marketers and web company employees who deceitfully impersonate random or anonymous 3rd parties in various comment and forum posts. They call it marketing, but we call it deceitful manipulation. Sometimes this behavior is called astroturf because it is intended to create a false appearance of grass roots support, or feign public disfavor toward something. It is used to market or to discredit; but either way, it is patently immoral and despicable. It's also quite normal. We see it all the time. We have spent enough time researching Internet abuse, and reading from other sites to know that it is a pandemic. Apparently, a large portion of the Internet population, including the owners of some of the most prestigious sites believe that open deception is tolerable on the Internet, and that they need not worry about accountability. It's beyond sad.
Why You Should Avoid All HONcode Certified Websites
| Written by Sarah Cain |
|
Beware Of This Image
Increasingly, we have noticed the use of this image (right) on health sites, so we investigated its merits. HONcode (Health on the Net) certification has a list of "principles" that sites must supposedly adhere to, if they wish to bear this logo.
The first principle is that authors must be qualified medical professionals, because 'unqualified' people should be clearly identified as such. The purpose is to diminish the credibility of anyone who is not licensed by the medical hierarchy, and to publicly label all potential competitors as unqualified.
Licensed To Kill: Andrew Witty Stars In Pharmakeia Royale
| Written by Sarah Cain |
|
The name's Witty: Andrew Witty, and he'll be having his martini shaken, not stirred.
GlaxoSmithKline has begun settling lawsuits, because their diabetes drug Avandia causes heart attacks. This minor complication would be resolved in a criminal court if any of us mere mortals gave people drugs that killed, but GlaxoSmithKline has its license to kill. They call it F.D.A. approval. It's somewhat coincidental that their cancer drugs cause diabetes, and the diabetes drugs cause heart disease. All of which supposedly require more of their expensive drugs.
The F.D.A. recommended that Avandia be removed from the market after it caused a "substantial excess number" of heart attacks and heart failures. How many heart attacks are acceptable? How many have to die before their deaths are counted as an excess? How many deaths before their license to kill is revoked?
Reuters reported that Avandia is no longer a big product for GlaxoSmithKline, as the patent on the drug will run out in just two years. It is convenient that the public is notified of the danger only as the patent expires.
