Well, thankfully we haven't been bothered by my father and his recent girlfriend for quite a while, which of is a nice break. Although they cause no damage, their comments were becoming annoying a few months ago with their posts of hatred and willingness to try to destroy me. Nevertheless, our home life remained unaffected and stable; much to their dissapointment.
In other area's, we mowed the yard today and I noticed that lots of my plants are doing well now that the temperatures are rising and my apple tree's development is great. Also, we got a shock collar for Stephanie (the dog) in order to train her to stay in the yard, off of a leash. This has been very difficult until now as she is very defiant by nature and a large dog which the neighbors would complain about if she ran towards their yards.
There was a storm a few days ago and so there were lots of twigs on the lawn to be picked up before mowing (we are surrounded by trees). That is obviously a boring job. I haven't worked on the Book at all today which I feel badly about, but I shouldn't as we have all taken a break. I knew that I needed one but I still feel like I need to get to work.

I did have a dream when last night and I remembered it when I first woke up but soon went back to sleep and when I awoke for the second time it was gone from my conscious memory. I guess there is always tomorrow night, but tomorrow I will have to get up and right it down before I go back to sleep.
The Book is moving, although we have slowed down recently due to distractions.
Take Care,
Sarah

It's early in the morning now and I haven't been to bed yet but we have been up for a while playing video games. I feel really relaxed and calm right now, it is not often that I become quite this mellow.
I am going to try to remember my dreams tonight as I simply wonder what sort of path my dreams are showing me. Although usually a person has no control over your dreams, a conscious decision the night before to remember them generally helps enormously. I'll let you know how I do although I probably wont post the dream here as dreams are a lot more personal than I believe should be brought into the public.

I haven't had as much accomplished today as I usually do, but then, it is the weekend so I guess it isn't terrible that we've taken a break. What is frustrating is when you dont mean to take a break but simply can't get into the right frame of mind to work closely on something that matters. I know how important this Book is, not just to our lives, but also to the lives of millions of people out there. This Book should change the perspective that people take on abuse and Domestic Violence forever yet still sometimes I find myself struggling to get into the right frame of mind.
I really hope that this Book will be as successful as we think it will be, as I know how many people out there have suffered because they never realized the information that can be found in our Book. I don't want anyone else to have to go through hell, simply because the information that they needed to protect themselves wasn't there when they needed it.

I haven't been feeling too well today, I feel like it is very humid for some reason and I can barely breathe. Other than that it has been good, we had hickory smoked Chicken and I spent extra time with the dog.
I generally avoid spending large amounts of time with her as she seems to be very retarded generally and so it just spoils it when she chokes herself with the leash. I'm not exaggerating. Today the sun was out and it was warm but not too hot so I took her for a walk and sat with for a little while. She is, however, banned from being in the house as she is incredibly defient and so we gave up trying to train her. She is happy outside anyhow.

I notice that we haven't had any comments about the hamster yet, not that I blame you all; I guess there is nothing you can say. Our bird eggs were unsuccesful but the birds seem to be happily trying again without too much upset.
Our book appendix work seems to be coming together. After searching through different mental disorders that commonly apply to abusers and victims, we found that in several ways, they all tie together. We're still working on it.

Our hamster escaped a few days ago when we left him running in his ball overnight. Although I usually put tape over the the ball which comes loose, this time, I didn't. When I awoke the next morning he was missing, and we looked everywhere but without success. Taking into consideration that he was small, we looked in small spaces that he could have crawled into but still there was no sign of him. We put some hamster food in the middle of the floor, hoping that he would come out and we could catch him when he went to eat.
I went to the kitchen to prepare a sandwich when I felt fur alongside my foot. I looked down and he ran straight back up under the cabinet to where a small hole was present, to the inside of the cabinets, out of reach. We used a flashlight to search for Strike but could not see him. Before long we heard a scratching noise and became worried that he may be digging a hole through the cabinet.
We used some organic animal repellant to wet some paper towels and put the rags in there, hoping to drive him out. He went quiet but still would not come out, so we added loud music by putting a radio in the cabinet. There was no sign of him except for the occasional scratching noises. We decided that the survival of our cabinets was more important that the survival of Strike. So, next we decided to make Chlorine gas, mixing ammonia with bleach and putting a bowl of it in the cuboard. He would either come out or die.
Hours later he had still not returned, so we realized that he would most probably be dead. We removed the music and the Chlorine gas which would have either seriously damaged his lungs or killed him. Just in case he was still alive we left some sticky-side-up duct tape just under his hole, surrounding his food so that he would be trapped if he did come out. At around 2 in the morning I woke up for some reason and went to the kitchen to get a drink of water. There he was. Calling for the rest of the family to help, we slowly released the panicked Strike, who turned out to be fine. He had survived it all.

We don't seem to be having much success with these eggs, as they have not hatched yet, but one is significantly larger than the other (the one that hatched first I assume). Yet they are no longer incubating the eggs sowe are fairly worried but we'll just have to wait for the outcome.
I haven't talked about the Book for a little while, but we are still working daily on it and it is being completed quickly.. we are progressing. I feel slightly nauseous tonight for some reason but I am not sure why, it is possible that I have eaten something which had ingredients filled with artificial chemicals. I don't react well at all to lots of chemicals -- including those that are regularly put in food.

It has been 17 days since our female dove laid eggs, and now we think that they are about to hatch. The birds are acting very excited and full of energy, so we will just have to wait and see. I will keep you updated.

Since we are more than half way done with our book, we believe that this may be a good time to begin our search for a literary agent. Of course, if they are not in our area, then it is not an issue; but we do need for them to have a certain type of history with authors. We are searching for agents who have been moral in the sort of people that they have held as clients. If anyone who reads the blog has suggestions, then we would be pleased to hear it. Our lengthy proposal document (which is basically a teaser document) is not being posted here due to the fact that publishers might be uncomfortable with it being made public at this stage.
More information about the Book can be found by simply clicking on the Categories: Book link to the right, or by emailing me at using the Contact Me link. If you are an agent, then we can send you our proposal upon request.

I keep meaning to tell you all that our Doves' have 2 eggs. We have decided to name the female dove "Ruth" as it is not taking care of it's children. We thought that maybe we should call the male dove "Iain" as it wont keep quiet and keeps wanting to mate all the time. We'll know whether the 'Iain' name is appropriate if he starts trying to mate with the baby doves when they hatch.

I was gardening for most of the day yesterday and we also planted a semi-dwarf 'Granny Smith' apple tree out there in full sunlight. It already has some small buds which we expect to be opening throughout today.
Before I do much else I need to get working on the Book as it is still morning and the yard will always need work. If I go out now I will get carried away and be out there all day long, returning exhausted and too tired to work on anything.

I've got a lot to do right now so I'm going to get to it but I thought that I'd leave a quick post to make sure you're all okay and to let you know that I am doing well. The Book is progressing although we periodically slow down due to distractions, but all the same we are doing very well.
Candles and incense considerably relax me, I don't know why this is but I often enter an almost meditative state. It's not a bad thing and I don't have a problem with it, it helps me to regain a calm and relaxed mood.

I don't appear to be having overwhelming success with my plants at the moment, I think it is probably too cold. Putting them outside is completely unsuccessful at the moment as they cannot stand the night temperature which is a little below 50 degrees (fahrenheit). I will wait a few weeks and I assume that the temperature will become a little more bearable for them.
The current temperatures have been below normal and below expected recently. I am just waiting anxiously for them to rise.

I've been doing well today. Most of the evening has been spent working on the book which we are writing. We have made a lot of progress but still; much is to be done.
All of our pets are healthy and happy, there isn't much to say about them. I am speaking again tomorrow, twice I believe; and I shall be finishing earlier than usual due to both being set for early in the day.
That is good as it means I can do the speeches at the high school in the morning and early afternoon, coming home to work on the Book and do anything else.
We are going to have to get back to the karate training soon but there have been so many bugs going around that we haven't been well enough to practice as much as I would like, and I pulled a muscle in my back as well.
