Quick Tip: Using Lemon and Pineapple Juice to Quickly Shift Body pH in Your Favor

There is a link between body pH and many diseases. Health conscious people often attempt to maintain a higher than normal body pH (alkaline). Those eating a healthy diet will naturally become alkaline from their diets, but it is very easy to become acidic from a relapse of processed foods. Soft drinks have a pH of around 2.5, and the effects upon pH are dramatic. It is always much easier to become acidic than to become alkaline. However, there are methods to dramatically speed up the process of becoming alkaline.

Acidic fruits often have an alkalizing effect upon the body. It is important to remember that the initial acidity of a food is not important in regard to its alkalizing effect. It is actually the minerals that matter, not the food's initial acidity. Ironically, the most acidic fruits tend to have a mineral composition that causes the human body to become more alkaline when they are metabolized.

Lemon juice and pineapple juice are extremely useful for helping a person to quickly regain some balance. If these are drank regularly, then we guarantee that you will feel the difference.

Some people choose to drink homemade lemonade everyday throughout the winter, in order to prevent the illnesses which are common in winter. Along with alkalizing and thereby making it difficult for pathogens to live, lemons contain vitamin C and potassium. When the body is alkaline, the oxygenation of the blood is increased, which provides extra energy and health improvements.

To make homemade lemonade, squeeze the juice from two small lemons into a 16 ounce glass, and add two teaspoons of evaporated cane juice (or honey) and water (preferably spring or well water). Do not use carbonated water, for it has an acidifying effect on the body.

We generally combine the lemon juice with pineapple juice. This yields the benefits of both, and it removes the need for a sweetening agent. The product of the two is better than either juice alone. It tends to have a nice sweet-sour taste that is unique, and remarkably delightful.

    I try to put a quarter to half organic lemon in my water glass most days. The later I hurriedly eat the pulp and some of the white part of the rind. of course the lemon is somewhat sour. LOL. Water is my favorite drink
    How much pineapple juice?? Organic ?
    what about purchased pineapple juice in glass bottles ?

    Drink as much pineapple juice as you feel comfortable with. Pineapple is a great source of vitamin C, and alkalizes your body at the same time. Of course, organic is always best, and you should avoid purchasing it "from concentrate". Drinks that are made in this manner are typically mixed with tap water, so we recommend against them.

    Glass containers are always ideal, particularly with substances which are acidic. Acidic substances are more likely to degrade the container, and this can result in chemicals being imparted into the food or drink.

    Thank you for this info and for pointing me to it. Today my little ones and I drank homemade lemonade sweetened with organic Agave Nectar. I also added blended organic flax oil and plain yogurt to our oatmeal along with organic virgin coconut oil, raw honey, cranberries, raisins, cinnamon, and unsweetened applesauce. I was concerned about the flax oil/yogurt blend having a bad taste but, it made the oatmeal even creamier. It was delicious! :) God has really used your site to further motivate my husband and I, (praise God!), to make as much as we can from the comfort of our home. Thank you again and God bless you!

    Your article references Lemon juice as a means of increasing your PH balance. Is there a substantial difference between lemons and limes as it relates to PH balance?

    Also, you recommend pineapple juice (preferably organic) as another juice to raise PH levels. I had read in other sources that it is best to stay away from fruit juices because of the sugar content. Do you suggest pineapple juice as a replacement for evaporated cane juice, and thus in moderation, rather to drink pineapple juice by itself on a regular basis?

    Unless you have full-blown diabetes, the natural sugars in fruits should not cause any problems. Furthermore, the body cannot run completely devoid of sugar, and natural fruits are some of the safest places to get it. Even in diabetes cases, some natural sugars are absolutely essential for curing it.

    We own a NutriBullet and have been using it regularly.
    When I read about the effects of pineapple/lemon juice on "acid" stomach I decided to make a blend of pineapple,lemon,water and a dash of Metamucil and raw honey.
    I turned out to be very tasty and has the benefit of the fiber in the fruit.
    I also have started to use sour cherries and cherry juice and have already felt the pain of my arthritis calming down.

    i have the nutribullet as well. god help to make VERY sure the blade piece is screwed on VERY tight-or polka dot kitchen!!! otherwise it is great-i slice up one whole organic lemon, one organic carrot, a big tablespoon of beet powder, turmeric, and a heaping table of ascorbated vit c mineral organic apple when i have it and anything else organic laying around-thanks for tip on pineapple, had not thought of that, tart cherry or pomegranite good to go too. It comes out the most beautiful magenta color and tastes so alive it is a new and healthy kind of citrus acid trip that actually TASTES healthy and energizing--and it gets me moving too--no bowel problems when i start the day like this. This drink also cleans out the pineal gland and brain--and i can feel the results...and i don't waste a drop--after pouring out into a glass i dig my hand in what is left in the juicer and give myself a facial--and my wrinkles are disappearing so fast it is highly noticeable-i even smear it on my hands and arms and this is really amazing--no more crepey skin on my arms-or spots on the back of my hands. I am just LOVIN IT!!!--and i am 67!
