American Churches are the Greatest Enemy of God

Written by Print  E-mail

Editor's Note: Even if you are not a Christian, you are likely to find this report fascinating in its exposure of history and the current secret partnership between church and state in the U.S..

Churches have played key roles in American history.  The British colonies of pre-America were populated by pilgrims who sought greater religious freedoms in The New World.  Within 200 years of the first colonies, biblically inspired human rights arguments against the British Monarchy were being made by America's Founding Fathers.  They thought of themselves as being like the ancient Jews, who had escaped Egyptian slavery by fleeing to The Promised Land.  The New World had become the new Promised Land for the British pilgrims.  They instinctively sensed that God was on their side, and vise versa.  Their powerful convictions eventually led to a split within the world's greatest empire.  Wars resulted, and their horrors were the birth pangs of a new nation.

America: The New Rome

Americans tend to take great pride in this part of their religious and political history, as they should.  However, the Bible has unfortunately been twisted by some Americans for self-serving purposes, and the book of Romans is on several levels the most twistable book of the Bible for manipulating the public with unchristian principles.  The book of Romans should have been left with the Dead Sea scrolls, and the bogus gospels.  It is where Paul shamelessly prostituted himself to the state's power, like he did in earlier times, when he was known as Saul.  In Romans, Paul openly encouraged people to sell-out to the will of the state for their own self-benefit and self-preservation.  What Paul wrote in the book of Romans was in opposition to everything that he had been taught by the Christ, and we can be certain that he had to eventually answer for it.  What he wrote in Romans was nothing short of treason to the one real power that he should have never dismissed.  Perhaps the anti-christian themes in Romans should be of no surprise to anyone who is educated about Paul's dark history of murdering Christians.  The real irony is that Paul (Saul) was the one disciple who was specifically brought into the inner circle by God himself.  This paradox is something that this writer will not even attempt to understand or analyze, because God defies human understanding.

Paul's writings were used to justify slavery in the United States, and they are currently being used to justify everything from the disarmament of the American people to America's ungodly aggressions in the Middle East.  American churches are obediently falling in-line with the will of the state, but not for biblical reasons as we might expect, but because they are legally required to.  This sad state of religious and political corruption within "the land of the free" will be explained later.

Prediction in 'The Revelation' about the church becoming "The Whore of Babylon"

Most modern Christians carry an arrogance unseen in previous generations.  Many are confident that a place in heaven awaits them, simply because they self-proclaim (speaking for God) that they are "saved", so we expect that a horrifying surprise awaits them.  Putting words into God's mouth, and judging for the Christ is probably not the most effective way of getting in, to say the least; but such is normal in the modern church.  These people seem to conveniently forget that pride is one of the seven deadly sins.  This modern version of "Christianity" actually drives newcomers away from the faith, because its representatives are more despicable than those who do not follow any organized church.

It is vital to remember that it was the church that was prophesied to eventually become "The Whore of Babylon" in the book of The Revelation.  Such a prediction helps to explain the current state of the church today.

[Revelation 17:3-6]  "So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:  And upon her forehead was a name written, 'MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH'.  And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration."

It is predicted thusly that the greatest enemy of the returning Christ will not be the pagans, unbelievers, or the false religions, but the Christian church itself.  He was killed by his own people during his first mission, and we should expect exactly the same response again.  This has been foretold, in fact.

Modern churches have come to elate the infamous section 13 of Romans as if it were written by God himself.  For those who are unaware, Paul instructed people to obey their masters and authorities, because authorities are (according to Paul/Saul) always appointed by God.  If this were true, then it would mean that all of the NAZI's were following the will of God, since they followed orders from their "appointed" leaders.  What Paul preached flies in the face of God's principle of free will, since he promoted that we should be inside one big obedient pyramid.  Christ was far from being a fascist.  It is important to note that biblical prophesy predicts that the anti-christ shall rise to a position of extreme worldly power and authority, yet we are obviously not mandated by God to obey the anti-christ.  The Bible repeatedly provides examples in which people had to disobey the state in order to serve God.  In fact, the Christ spelled-out that none of us can serve both masters (God and the state).  We must choose which we will obey when the will of the two are in opposition.  The Christ was eventually murdered because he defied the Jewish authorities.

The Church's New Trinity: Money, Power, and Politics

The churches were once the place for peace keepers and peace makers, regardless of what modern, politically correct history revisionists want us to believe.  Churches were once treated as holy grounds where violence was neither tolerated nor condoned, except for when violence was absolutely clear as the lesser of evils.  In fact, there was a time when criminals and other scoundrels would frequently flee into churches, because law enforcement personnel would not pursue them inside.  Now churches are not considered holy grounds anymore.  They are businesses and official "corporate entities" instead.

We have been taught to believe that churches are altruistic volunteer organizations with no connections to the state, and indeed, it once was.  This is not the case anymore, due to corrupt arrangements made in secret between church leaders and governmental representatives.

Most Americans know that since the foundation of their nation, there has been a policy of not taxing churches.  This was implemented by the U.S. Government in its early days as part of a policy of total non-interference with religion, and churches.  They implemented this, in part, to guarantee a complete freedom of religion for all Americans, although modern politically correct revisionists have convinced most people now that the actual goal was freedom from religion.  The Founders would be aghast by this belief, and from the fact that despicable people have put such words into their mouths.  Anyway, the important thing to remember is that America has had a policy of not placing any taxes upon churches, or church related activities, since its revolution.  That is, until recently.

Being a church is no longer enough to obtain a tax free status.  Changing the rules was justified by the reasoning that some individuals and corporations will always "cheat" the government of tax money, by claiming to be churches; as if the income tax were even legal in the first place.  By the way, the "I.R.S." Amendment to the Constitution was never actually ratified by the States, as was required by the Constitution, but the federal income tax is another topic for another day.

Nowadays, a church must register with the state.  Before continuing, please pause and consider that last statement for a minute.  That's right, churches must get the state's permission to exist, whether it be through the usual zoning bull, their right to "incorporate" as a business, or just to get that wonderful tax free status.  The story gets even better (or worse) when we examine the changes in tax policies, and what they now require of churches.  To be free of taxation, churches must generally register with the I.R.S. as a "501c non-profit organization".  This is something that has huge implications for churches, and their message.  The government has carefully orchestrated the rules for becoming a 501c charity as a means of taking control of the churches.

To maintain 501c (tax free) status, a church cannot be politically active in any way, or it suddenly transforms into a "political action organization" instead of a tax free charity.   This means that as soon as a church gets its 501c status, it becomes essentially illegal for it to question anything that the government does.  Churches can no longer speak about the evils committed by our own government, or its constant wars of blind aggression.  Ever wonder why the churches got so quiet after the Civil Rights Movement?  Now you know. 501c was check-and-mate for the Military Industrial Complex.  It is no wonder that modern churches cling so tightly upon the book of Romans, for virtually every organized church in the United States is essentially a division of the U.S. Federal Government.  They know that once they have sold out to the government, and signed themselves over for a 501c status that the I.R.S. will eat them alive if they ever get out of line.  They are obedient to their master, and they tell us to be.  If, like us, you have spent years trying to uncover the reasons for the corruption of the modern church, then you too can put your research to rest.  You know the ugly truth now.  Feel free, however, to research all of the ugly details for yourself.  Be forewarned that you are likely to find the truth to be quite sickening.

If you happen to be a church-going Christian, then be aware that sooner or later you'll have to decide which master you will serve.  Will you follow the path of money, power, and politics, or the real Trinity?  The real church does not contain four walls and a ceiling, and never has.

  • Sterling  - God's Ways or our ways?

Mr. Corriher, I completely understand your frustration, however, please do not sin in your anger. The Scriptures are our authority in all matters, Romans included. They are God-breathed. You are correct, and I have countless experience to attest to the fact, that the current church is more tickled by fashion and the bucks than teaching Truth and wisely shepherding the flock. No doubt about that. However, Paul in no way advocated what you term "selling out" to the government. As Christ said, "give to the government what's DUE them"... no where will you find the Scriptures advocating unrighteousness to obtain the favor of governments or people. If it's immoral/unrighteous, you are CERTAINLY to go against the government as the many multitudes who went to their deaths for the sake of Christ Jesus can attest. That it doesn't happen on the large scale it should currently, is very indicative of the sickness you describe and the main reason that things have arrived at the state they are in.
Generally, the church is not interested in the Glory of God and the Holiness of His Name.

Your argument against Chapter 13 of Romans is a very old one. I will not enter into the argument here that so many others have articulated far better than I could in this format, but I would offer this... we are saddled with the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
Everything is broken, including our thinking. Christ, through His Atonement and our belief in Him and His Atonement, puts life into our dead spirit. It's only
from that point that we can understand anything of God and the Reality that He Created. You know that God's ways are not our ways. Remember, for instance, that it was God who pointed out Job to Satan for persecution. This life is about giving God glory, period. Yes, you are right that the modern church hid and cowered during the winnowing times of the past and, indeed, presently. And, yes, they used proof-texts to justify themselves. But that in no way
impugns the Word of God as we are not to use it to justify ourselves but to understand and walk in God's ways. Re-read King David's career. King Saul was murderous and
idolatrous, but David never raised his hand against "God's anointed" and even when he cut his robe in the cave, he repented of the action. I point this out to say
this: it's the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil (KGE) that we ascribe what is good and evil to things. But we - those who follow The Way - are told, bluntly, what is good according to God's ways through His Word and Spirit. What may appear in our KGE-mentality as bad, IS being used by God for good for those who follow and adore Him. (yes, I'm aware that this is from Romans, but the root idea articulated in Romans can be found throughout Scripture - e.g. Israel is told multitudes of times to kill all the people in the places they were given by God, which seems bad to us, yet, God told them why and, in fact, when they didn't obey, it turned out bad for them.)

I am thankful for your courage to write about this topic, it needs to be understood so that The Church is moved to action. I would encourage all of us, as we continue on this quickly ending path of sanctification, to pray fervently for wisdom in the Ways of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is a winnowing time, a time the True Church is being separated from the false church. The real Church, as you pointed out, is not a building with walls and a roof... but People Indwelt by the Living God for His Purpose. As God's love within us meets the death of this world system, we are filled with sorrow that makes us humbled before God and gentle to all those who have the wrath of God already upon them.

May Yehuvah, The God Who Is, give His Church His wisdom and strength to action in these difficult times ahead as we fight for His Glory alone.

  • Lisa  - Ouch...

That hurt what you said about Paul. I guess, because growing up in an all Black church, we were never taught that Paul wanted you to stay with a master unless you were a debt slave...lol. I am teachable though, so I will definitely be reading up more on those verses.
We haven't found a church to go to in quite a while now. I hope it doesn't sound superstitious, but it just feels like none of them feel right to go to. I just get uncomfortable just thinking about going. I'm an introvert, so I could use that excuse, but what would be my husband's, he's the most out going person I know. Even he can't seem to want to be in a church building. Except for a few sermons I listen to online, most pastors seem to be filling time like MSM TV shows. Hope I didn't offend. Still processing this article. It's good information though.

Thanks, Lisa. I made a slight correction in the article. It wasn't Romans that was used to justify slavery, but Paul's other writings. Thomas just got a little wound up writing this one, and for good reason.

  • Rebecca  - Can I get an Amen......?

Well first of all just let me say "it's about time." My husband and I had to stop going to church last year because we found out how corrupt corporate religion is and that they were just "big business" and not part of the solution but part of the problem. I was working for a church and found that the bottom line was to bring in as many people as they could to be sure that the pastors could afford their brand new Mercedes Benz and Jaguars. When God finally opened my eyes I was dumbfounded. Believe me I am a very outgoing person and I want to help everyone to know God, but what I saw first hand was shocking. My husband and I study the Bible every day and have daily devotions and according to the Word, that is all that is needed. Matthew 18:20 (KJV) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

  • Jim

Where Two or Three Are Gathered (Matthew 18:20)

“For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
    - Matthew 18:20
This has to be one of the most misquoted verses in all of the New Testament. This verse is used to talk about Christian gatherings like a worship service or Bible study to say that Christ is in our midst when we gather. But if you back up and look at the context, this verse is in the context of dealing with sin among Christians and how to bring brothers back into harmony with one another. Jesus is saying, when this type of reconciliation takes place it is the type of thing he wants to be a part of and is best represented in those events. Let’s look at the context:
15“If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[c] 17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
18“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be[d]bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.
19“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
    - Matthew 18:15-20
If you only look at verse 20 it is very easy to go away thinking these verses are about any and every gathering of Christians. But in context you see over and over that Jesus is mentioning two or three people joining in the task of reconciliation together in order to deal with sin and bring unity to the “church.”
The next issue is what did Jesus mean by “church”? I had a hunch this was not talking about Christian assemblies specifically (although it could still certainly apply) as the church as we know it was not yet in existence. The word church in Greek really just means “gathering” or “assembly.” I checked Davies & Allison’s Matthew commentary to see if I was on the right track and they confirmed my hunch. What is more their conclusion also shed light on verse 17 “treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”:
“The local community is here meant, not the church universal. Its role is not to rebuke or condemn, but rather to support the individual disciple in his final attempt to convince and reconcile his brother…To treat someone as a Gentile and toll-collector would involve the breaking off of fellowship and hence mean exclusion from the community – no doubt in hope that such a severe measure (it would have dire social and probably economic consequences) would convict the sinner of his sin and win him back. The passage is therefore about excommunication. Once a brother has refused to heed the whole church, there can be no appeal to a higher authority: the matter has been settled.” – Davies & Allison, A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the Gospel According to Saint Matthew: Matthew 8-18 (International Critical Commentary)
This brings out an interesting dynamic from their culture that we often miss when we read these verses. Their identity and even socio-economic status was tied to their community. Today, if someone were to be forced to leave a church for flagrant and unrepentant sin it would hardly be as severe as the punishment described here. They would just pick another church and go where no one knew about their issues. Not so in their communities. They depended on each other in more ways than just showing up for worship one hour a week. Their lives were inextricably entwined. This points specifically to our lack of connection today. It points to our lack of dependence upon one another. Church discipline is powerless in an environment where people can “church hop” until they find just the right flavor of what they are looking for or to avoid having to repent of their sins by simply going to a new church.

  • 2briel

To Sterling: Amen and Amen!!! I was concerned very much by the article and couldn't rap my brain around the creators of this site doing great good for truth and then seemingly using God's word to attack God's word??? Anywho thank you for bringing clarity to this boderline crisis for me. There is only one thing I absolutely trust at all times and that is GOD'S WORD!!! Thank you for the gentle and meek spirit to bring the truth. And thank you Thomas and Sarah for your diligence to report the truth at great personal expense. You will be persecuted. You will be surrounded by fervent prayer. I cherish the fact that you love God and serve Him so faithfully.

  • Ewan Gurr

While I agree there is merit in some of the claims in the article, it is crucial to view Paul's teachings regarding slavery in light of progressive revelation. God's opposition to slavery is clear in his liberation of the Jews from Egypt and Babylonian exile. In Exodus, you could essentially beat your slave to the point of the death, by Corinthians we are talking about greeting slaves with a 'holy kiss' as well as treating slaves as brothers in Philemon.

The same progression can be seen in relation to women, lepers, eunuchs and so on. If God is unchanging (Mal. 3:6) and so is Jesus (Heb. 13:8), I can only see it as us humans who fall short!

  • Sai Kit  - Oh my
    avatar

I am surprised to see what is written here. While I agree that established/organized/denominational churches and the Mother Church are ranging from rebellious to outright daughter of the Harlot in Revelation, I totally disagree with what you wrote about Paul.

What Paul said in Romans 13 is totally in line with the OT and the rest of the NT, in that God sometimes raised up evil governments to punish His own people. One time God even punished a Judah king for betraying the agreement he made with an invader. God Himself saw to it that the king got punished.

Having said that, we are not required to obey anything that contradicts God's law. For example, I won't join the army because I won't kill people.

Prayer can change a regime. We can certainly change the hearts of the people, and pray for the nations, so God's hand will remove the evil government and replace it with a just one. (It has been said that the collapse of USSR was a result of intercessary prayers---the ones that were taught by Derek Prince)

We cannot use guns or bloody revolution to achieve a righteous govenment. It will only strengthen the evils.

We should all go back to house churches model like the early New Testament churches. My website bible-verses-insights.com advocates that.

Paul is just telling us to never engage in physical battle with our government, and to obey the authorities when their demand is in line with God's law, but obviously Paul himself didn't compromise the teaching of God when he was persecuted severely by religious authorities, even to death, so how could he be a sell-out?

Also, Paul's writing contain important passages about the Rapture, which is the only divine means by which the people of God could escape the upcoming Anti-Christ tyranny. If you discredit Paul's writing, you also reject the Rapture doctrine I believe?

If the Rapture is true, then those who refused to believe it will be left-behind. This will pay into Satan's purpose. He wants people to be left behind.

  • Shelly Burton  - Wonderfully put

I became a born-again Christian nearly 10 years ago. Since September of 2002, I read my Bible every day, usually in the morning. I also have a devotional and I journal.
For quite a few years now, I have been uncomfortable with some of Paul's statements. Especially the ones that start with, "I feel, or I think" To me, he was imposing his opinion and not God's truth. So to find this article has been so relieving! I stopped going to Church because I began to disagree with the commercialism of christmas and easter, and the lie that so many Christians follow with both of these.
I struggled alone with my thoughts and feelings. With Paul and some of his words.
I thank you for helping me see that I am not crazy or non-Christian for them.
I just found you today, and I am starting to think this is Divine intervention, because I have been able to sigh in relief that I am not alone anymore!

  • Jon

    Hi Thomas,

You mention pride as a 'deadly sin', does this mean you are a Catholic? I know you guys are Christians, but I've been wondering what church you're in.

  • Rose Marie

My, My, My. What in the world is going on? I know we live in troubled times and I know it might be hard to find a true Bible believing Church. But it is not impossible, I belong to a great Church where we are taught the love of Christ and where the pastor demonstrates big time his passionate love for Jesus. I have grown so much in the last three years - released from psychiatric drug additction after many long years and God brought me to this website to learn the truth behind Big Pharma which helped me get free. Maybe the Church can't talk about things pertaining to the government but we have you and the internet and other sources to find information as the Holy Spirit faithfully leads those who search for truth. Thankfully, I have also found a wonderful Messianic Jewish congregation because I questioned why the 4th commandment is no longer regarded relevant. The Holy Spirit will lead us to find answers if we are faithful and committed. For so long I sought His hand (as most people do) thankfully, I have finally learned to seek His Face. Total surrender is needed for God to begin to do for a person what they could never do for themselves. Remember - do not forsake the assembly of yourselves together. It is important to learn and grow in grace and knowledge of God with other believers who know more than you and whose example you can learn from. Anyway, that's my 2 cents for whatever it may or may not be worth. Thanks.

  • Dave Bryant  - 501

I think you are pretty much right on here. One clarification... it is not required that Churches register with the state and become 501(c)3 organizations. In the tax book for 501's, it actually states that "Churches that meet the requirements of IRC section
501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS .
Although there is no requirement to do so, many
churches seek recognition of tax-exempt status"... Here's a link to the IRS book. Look at the bottom of page three on the left side.
